Living Water History

Born out of Revival,  Living Water Assembly began meeting in Williamson in November of 1996.

Living Water Church began meeting in the family room of a member's home. From  there,  Living Water Church has met in several places.  Living Water's first real home was in a converted bar above a laundromat. While God moved mightily there, the facility was barely  sufficient for Living Water's needs. Services were often "standing room only" and Sunday School classes were held all over town. From tables in a downtown diner to the local health club, any empty space could be fair game for a Living Water Sunday School Class.

During this time, American Electric Power had built a new facility outside of town, vacating their offices in downtown Williamson. While there were many parties interested Living Water Church 1998 in  occupying the space, none were more interested than Living Water Church. Negotiations with AEP for the lease of   the building went on for nearly a year. Often times during this period, members of LivingWaterChurch could be seen praying in front of the old AEP building.  Finally, just before Easter  of 1998, Living Water Church was awarded the lease to the building. Moving operations began the day word came from  AEP The River Is Here.

Livin g Water and  AEP finally agreed to the terms for the purchase of the building the summer of 1999. After the purchase was finalized, the old AEP sign finally came down from the front of the building. People  would still come in looking for the AEP Power Company, but it was explained to them that a different kind of power is available here now.

Living Water 2007As Living Water surveyed the new space available in this building, we went to work finding ways to use the space to serve God as well as the   community.  The abundance of space this building provides allows for a nice sanctuary space and many classrooms with much room to spare. It was decided that one way to  utilize the  space that would benefit the Church and the community would be to establish a new child care facility. With this, Living Water Childcare was established.
