CONVOY OF HOPE ON THE GROUND IN IOWA
International compassion organization Convoy of Hope, based in Springfield, Missouri, is on the ground in Iowa, and is preparing to distribute relief and recovery supplies in Waterloo, Iowa City, Coralville, Cedar Rapids and Des Moines, as they work with local churches and ministries.

Convoy of Hope invited to present at White House Compassion in Action Roundtable on Disaster Preparation and Response, Monday May 19, 2008. Kary Kingsland, Convoy of Hope U.S. Disaster Response director, to serve on panel discussion alongside heads of other aid organizations and will meet with notable figures, including U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff. LEADERS ADDRESS NEED FOR SPIRITUAL AWAKENING... ANNOUNCE CRY
Evangelical, Pentecostal and charismatic leaders meet in Northampton, Massachusetts, for summit in conjunction with Awakening America Alliance on April 7-9. The event focused on the ³severe spiritual slumber² of the American Church and the ³critical need² for a spiritual awakening, especially among the youth.

AG churches ready to meet need of suffering nation
With estimates reaching up to 100,000 killed and many hundreds of thousands made homeless by cyclone that struck Myanmar (Burma) last Saturday, the Myanmar AG already active and reaching out to suffering victims.
